Everything that I read about debt relief has one common strategy. I’m not really loving this, because all the budgeting gurus are telling me that, in order to get control of my debt, I need to ditch the credit cards. My beloved credit cards? Oh, I’m not feeling too good about this at all. Then I took a look at the interest I’ve paid over the last year. All of a sudden, my credit cards were no longer beloved. They looked rather sinister, in fact, lurking there in my wallet, calling my name each time I passed a store window. Seeing myself as I really am, a person who’s easily drawn into too much spending, I made the decision. Time to cut up my credit cards. Now, I buy what I can afford and save money in the process by not overspending and giving my hard earned money to the credit card companies in the form of interest. I’m free!
